The CAU Inter County Cross-Country Championships were staged at Loughborough at the weekend, and we provided 20 members for the Essex teams.
There were no individual medalists, but Archie Durham, with his 31st placing played his part in the first placed team in the U15 Boys race. Also in this event were Harry Wyatt 36th and Gregory Martin 112th, in a field close to 200 athletes.
At U13 level, Jacob Parrott finished 73rd, Joshua Eida 107th and Ethan Reilly 117th - with the team taking 7th place - whilst the U17's, who claimed 9th spot, had William Nuttall 27th and Joseph Perry 108th.
Competing in the Men's Senior team, Ben Felton 35th, Zach Bridgeland 55th and David Fewell 94th helped a weakened team to 9th place.
To the U13 Girls, and here Daisy Stollery led the Essex squad with 20th place - with Amelia Shipton 55th, Ezrah Harrold 78th and Lottie Wilkin 129th. In the U15's we had Sienna Shipton 123rd, Kayleigh Atkinson 148th and Rosie Hopper 159th.
Moving to the U17's, we saw Holly Watson finish 53rd and Sophie Cottam 95th.
