Chelmsford juniors in good form at Essex Schools Multi-Events

When the Essex Schools staged their multi events meeting on the Brentwood School track. a small contingent of CAC members representing their various schools were chasing the honours.

It was the U17 Boys group which was to bring a first place for Sam Wright, with 2712 points gained via 100m hurdles (14.2s), Long Jump (6.59m), Discus (23.35m), Javelin (23.92m) and a 400m of 55.5s. Second place here went to Archie Sims with efforts of 15.4s, 4.96m, 17.05m, 24.48m and 57.3s.

 Five of our girls contested the U15 group, and Milana Thorpe was most successful, placing an excellent second from a large entry.  A total of 2531 points came via 75m hurdles (12.1s), High Jump (1.35m), Long Jump (4.45m), Shot Putt (6.89m) and the 800m (with a PB of 2m 37.6s). Sophie Catchpole placed 6th with 2378 points, Amelia Scott 9th (2285), Rebecca Dines 12th (2285)  and Skye Lake 17th (1939).

 Our sole competitor in the U15 Boys group, Edward Hughes, finished in fourth place with 2281 points gathered via 80m hurdles (11.8s), High Jump (1.55m), Long Jump (5.19m), Shot Putt (8.47m) and 800m of 2m 30.7s.
