Seb Clatworthy had plenty to celebrate at the weekend in Cardiff. Competing as an U20 at the Welsh Athletics Senior Indoor Championships, Seb leapt to a 7cm PB of 2.02m, to claim the Senior Men’s High Jump title!
Seb had set a new best mark of 1.95m only the previous weekend, at the same venue!
Meanwhile, at Lee Valley, several of the club’s junior athletes were competing at the London Indoor Games, in the U17, U15 and U13 age groups.
Darcy Sullivan ran the fastest time of the Games in the U17M 200m – while Kissiwaa Mensah matched this achievement in the U17W 200m
Kissiwaa also set a new PB in the U17W 60m – as did Angel Wright, Imogen Tooke and Freya Coley, in the U15G races – and Jessica Lunt in the U13G age group. Jessica also set a new best in the Long Jump, while Angel and Imogen set new marks in the Shot.
Oliver Early recorded a PB in the U17M 60mH, while Edward Hughes ran the fastest time in the U13B race, and Maisie Fulker scored a PB in the U15G event.
Bobby Morrish ran a new PB in the U17M 400m. Gaby Bilbie did likewise in the U15G 800m, with the third fastest time of the day.
Onyeka Okoh and Sam Gowen both recorded PB’s in the U17M High Jump, while Mia Bowring did the same in the U15G event.
In the Pole Vault, PB’s were set by Jack Hughes (who also set the best clearance in the U15 age group), Jaimee Smith (U17W), and Oliver Early (U17M).
Maegan Hopkins finished in second place in the U15G Shot.
Milana Thorpe set PB’s in the U13G 800m, 60mH and Long Jump.
