Junior team maintain push for EYAL Top Six finish with strong display on home soil

03 Jun 2019

On an extremely hot day, Chelmsford’s Juniors put up a fantastic display in their home EYAL match on Sunday.  Competing against very strong teams from league-leaders Havering, Basildon and Colchester Harriers, the team pulled out all the stops to end the day only 51 points behind Havering, and 141 points of Basildon.

Star performer was Nathan Bushnell, who won the U17 Shot, Discus, and Hammer – while debutante Alannah Bushnell won the U13 Girls Discus.

The team now go into their final two matches placed fifth in the EYAL, and potentially on course for their first Top Six finish for a number of years.
