Five go to Bury St Edmunds

30 Sep 2018

As the Summer`s track season drew towards it`s conclusion earlier this month, five of our members represented Essex in a six cornered Inter Counties meeting at Bury St Edmunds.

They played a significant role in a convincing win for the Men's Senior team - gaining three first, and two second places. There were wins for Bradley Reed in the 110m Hurdles (14.9 secs), Luke Keteleers B string 400m Hurdles (59.5 secs) and Tom Hewes - High Jump (1.95m). Second places went to Rhys Collings in the A string 400m Hurdles (56.9sec), and James Allway in the Pole Vault  (4.00m).

Tina Qunlivan recorded a PB of 2.40m in the Senior Women's Pole Vault as she finished in third place.

Another of our members - Joe Bloomfield found success by winning the Hammer - but here in the colours of Suffolk.  Also competing for Suffolk was Georgina Howe, who finished second in the Hammer and fourth in the Discus.
